7-Day Itinerary
Sri Lanka Cultural Triangle, Wildlife & Beach

FROM OUR FOUNDERS...
“The best Sri Lanka itinerary is not something we can repeat. Each trip we curate depends on how well we get to know your interests and hobbies. Nevertheless, we are happy to share a selection of Sri Lanka holidays with something for everyone. Each vacation is customized to offer visitors – deep learning about our unique island, with a combination of slow travel, rest, and relaxation- all spiced up with the world heritage sites of Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle, the island’s famous story about Ceylon Tea, meeting locals and more. We would love you to meet, cook, and taste great food from local farms to table experiences far away from everything, learning about elephants and leopards with our naturalist guides who share wonderful jungle stories about extensive wilderness areas and sunshine on hundreds of miles of our favorite beaches. Ask us for luxury juxtaposed with a night or two of barefoot sophistication in selected eco-lodges or a night of expedition glamping.”

Trip Overview
This tour covers the well-known highlights of Sri Lanka with a few little twists. It’s an ideal itinerary for first-time visitors who want to feel immersed in the destination and have fun along the way. Both the route and accommodation have been planned to suit families. Each hotel has something unique to make the trip extra special, whether it’s the view, the location, great family rooms or simply the warmest welcome in town. Transport is with your own chauffeur guide who will remain with you for most of the tour. You can use the vehicle to go on as many day trips and excursions as you wish.
Activity Level:

These trips typically travel in relative comfort, stay at rated hotels, resort or lodge-based accommodations throughout, and point-to-point transportation in comfortable vehicles or trains. Trips offer opportunities to meet locals and have cultural interactions, guided sightseeing, simple town or village walks, climbing few steps, and little elevation gain or loss. Nevertheless, on these trips one must expect some culture shock as you will be exposed to a different culture. The local food will be quite different from home. Respecting the local culture, religions, and lifestyles will make it easier to fit in and experience the adventure.
Theme: Culture, Wildlife, Beach.
Highlights include:
- Binoculars at the ready to search for leopards and elephants in the wilds of Yala National Park
- Cool off and enjoy the clear mountain air in the tea plantations
- Relax and enjoy the welcome at a lovely, family-friendly boutique hotel on the south coast.
Holidays such as these are a winning formula for families – they provide just the right mix of quality family time, positive learning experiences and special holiday moments.

What Our Past Clients Say

Our Social Responsibility | Positive Impact
We aim to make your travel experiences in this itinerary meaningful and support our common ethos of working with local communities and projects close to our hearts.
‘No’ To Elephant Rides
We advocate against riding on the back of an elephant as part of a tourism experience, and as such, we do not include elephant rides or any entertainment activities involving elephants in our Sri Lanka itineraries. In the interest of public safety and animal welfare, we discourage travelers from partaking in such activities outside of our itineraries.
We are a proud supporter of World Animal Protection, our very own Canadian animal welfare non-profit with local reach and global influence with local communities, the private sector, civil society, and governments across 47 countries.
Every day, billions of animals experience unbearable suffering. World Animal Protection moves the world to protect animals because the life of every animal counts.
Leave No Trace
We operate our itineraries following the principles of Leave No Trace, ensuring that we take out all waste we bring in and more where possible and demand local partners and service providers follow suit.
Child Safe Tourism
Children working and living in tourist areas are especially vulnerable to physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. We protect vulnerable children by adhering to our Child Protection Code of Conduct. Details are available on request.
Some of the initiatives that we support are in the locations featured in this itinerary.

5 Steps to Start Your Journey to Sri Lanka
Step 1 - Let's Talk
Every Sri Lanka holiday we create is unique. Fill out the form and we will be in touch for a chat. You may feel free to call us on 1 833-621-0750 | (905) 783-3384 or Email: info@ayubowansrilanka.org
We then go a little bit deeper to get a feel for the kind of Sri Lanka holiday you want.
Step 2 – Brainstorm Your Sri Lanka Holiday Idea
Once we have all the information about your requirements, we talk, answer any questions, and brainstorm among ourselves to see the amount of work that entails for your trip and get back to you with an initial proposal.
Step 3 – Discuss the Initial Proposal, Changes, and Deletions, if Any
We will reach out to you to discuss details of the proposal and get feedback. We allow you flexibility to make adjustments and changes to trip components and come up with a 100% satisfactory trip itinerary and price. We offer up to three revised proposals (including the initial proposal), free with no obligations to book whatsoever.
Step 4 – Deposits & Creating Your Holiday, Your Way
Once agreed upon with the proposal and you’re ready to proceed with a firm booking, we ask for a deposit (CAD$350/per person approximately, and this is non-refundable). The deposit amount varies by the type of holiday. If there are any complex services that require early booking space guarantees with any additional deposits to vendor/s, we may give you sufficient advance notice.
When the deposit is received, we get to work, taking all the time needed to ensure the itinerary created and agreed upon is spot-on.
Step 5 – Travel with Confidence
We’ll then take care of all the bookings, logistics, paperwork, and arrangements. Final payments are usually due 60 days prior to your departure date. We are TICO bonded, so you can be sure that your money is 100% safe and that all payments made are used to secure the services agreed upon.
